Grand Openings in Nagpur
Dear Friends and Family of the Watumull Childrens Fund,
Welcome to the grand opening of the Gulab Watumull Learning Center! We just got professional photos back, so we want you to share with us in the joy of that special night in Nagpur, India!
The building was lit up for the party!
We unveiled the dedication stone.
Our front door is ready for the ribbon cutting.
Johnathan Kraus, head of Love Never Fails India, and Chitra had the honor of cutting the ribbon! Standing next to us is Sunil, Love Never Fails India’s director.
The third floor of Daddy’s building will be a safe house for fifty young girls.
The second floor will house teachers and guests coming from the US for a few weeks at a time. They will be teaching English, cooking, planting, sewing, building and other skills.
The first floor has a big common room for dining, a kitchen, classrooms, and a computer lab.
Next to the building, the Watumull family is planning a community park. It will be named “Baba’s Garden,” after the late Jhamandas Watumull, my grandfather. There will be paths, benches and play equipment for the entire community.
At the building dedication I told all the guests gathered there that this beautiful new building will be a light for the city of Nagpur for years and years to come. It will bring hope and education and well-being to thousands of vulnerable children! Thank you for being supporters of this high impact project!
XOXO,
SCOT + CHITRA
