Valentine’s Message

Dear Friends and Family of the Watumull Childrens Fund,

Happy Valentine’s Day! Since I am half a day ahead of you, let me show you my morning in Nairobi!

First, I came to Parade (all school assembly) at Bethany Education Centre) in Kawangware. All 850 students gather outside for singing and morning announcements. Here Principal Walter is speaking to them.

After the flag salute, the eighth-grade girls led some music. We are working hard to develop leadership skills in our students.

The vegetable man drove up and dropped off enormous heads of cabbage for lunch! (This is Bethany’s kitchen)

I went from class to class reading to them and teaching them the song “Magic Penny”- about giving love away and getting more love back!

So, from East Africa I send all of you my love and thanks for the gifts we can give our students because we are working together!

XOXO,
SCOT + CHITRA
