Every child deserves an education, but not every child can afford one. Watumull Children’s Education was established to help change that.
We believe that every child in our world deserves access to a primary and secondary education.
Watumull Children’s Education was established to change the statistic that over 260 million children around our world are not attending school.
We were founded by Chitra Watumull Wright, a certified teacher with 30+ years of experience in public and private schools in the United States. Throughout her career, she saw firsthand how the intervention of early schooling makes a huge difference in the future of a child’s life. Our story is founded on the premise that learning to read opens up a child’s life to a whole new experience of living.
What We Do
PROVIDE TUITION ASSISTANCE
We have elementary and secondary students in need of tuition assistance. They can be supported for a year at a time, where donor’s funds will cover tuition, books, uniforms, and two hot meals on school days.
SUPPORT SCHOOL FACILITIES
We provide financial support for school facilities’ building and repair. Currently, we are working to build permanent classrooms for Bethany Joy Education Center (one of the schools we support).
PROVIDE EDUCATION MATERIALS
We help provide school materials needed to aid the education process. This includes books, pencils, notebooks, and more.
